Volvo BM LM 846 v1.0.0.8

Category: Wheel Loaders
Price: $50000
Power: 115-180 hp
Max. speed: 30-45 kph

Credits: Giants Software for the awesome LM 845! Adub Modding ABP Team for letting me use their Rust Shaders

The LM 846 is a much more common wheel loader than the LM 845. It has the same size tires all around and weighs 500kgs more. While the 845 was better for forestry work thanks to its larger front wheels, the 846 was a better allround loader for materials handling. Based on the LM 845 from Giants Software I bring you the LM 846 from 1972

Features:
Different wheel options but with same (and almost realistic) dimension on all four wheels
Updated ZF-axles front and back to maximize torque

Three Engine options:
Volvo D50B – Standard 115hp 5.13L inline six cylinder engine
Volvo D60A – 125hp 5.48L inline six cylinder engine with more torque and higher rpm. Cost 5000
Volvo TD70B – 180hp turbocharged 6.73L truck engine including updated torque converter, increasing top speed. Cost 15000

Reworked gearbox with High/Low Gears and 2 Forward speeds and 2 Reverse speeds just like in the real machine
Reworked weight and center of mass to be more authentic
Reworked/Increased/balanced Engine sounds/torque converter sounds to add realism (the real 846 is a really loud screaming beast)

Changelog 1.0.0.1: Reworked Wheels
Changelog 1.0.0.2: Reworked weight and center of mass, the rear axle now has the same % of the total mass as the real machine
Changelog 1.0.0.3: Added second engine option, the D60A increasing hp/torque and higher rpm adding to top speed
Changelog 1.0.0.4: Reworked engine and torque converter sound volume and gain. The indoor volume is now as unbearable as in real life 😉
Changelog 1.0.0.5: Changed gearbox to High/Low 1F 2F 1R 2R as in the real machine
Changelog 1.0.0.6: Added third engine option, truck swapped turbocharged TD70B with 2800 max rpm and even more torque/hp.
Changelog 1.0.0.7: Tweaked the torque converter for the TD70B to allow higher top speed. Dangerous but still road legal
Changelog 1.0.0.8: Tweaked gearbox torque ratios and axle torque ratios for all three engines

Authors notes:
I own a Volvo LM 846 from 1974 and I was overwhelmed to find the LM 845 in the Volvo Pack from Giants Software!
(The 846 is almost identical to the 845 except for the wheels) Based on my many hours in the 846 I have tried to make my mod true to the real machine (heavy, sluggish, loud and high reving)
Here in Sweden it is common to swap out the old D50 for a truck engine with turbo so I added that option to.
I am new to modding but next up is updating the 3d-model to look exactly like the real deal and adding turbo sound to the TD70!
I take no credit for this mod, the credit goes to Giants Software for making the 845 so true to life and Adub modding for the rust shaders!
