A classic 1980s tractor, the HGR KY7 Electric Daycab, was carefully modernized into a fully electric farm truck.
This unique machine reflects the dedication of a farmer-engineer who rebuilt her trusted cabover using components sourced entirely from a PlasmaStar catalog. At its heart is a PlasmaStar 250 XXS, delivering power through a severe-duty D32 steel driveshaft to the rear wheels. Though originally intended for a very different application, the system has been adapted for agricultural use with several discreet modifications.
The result is a truck that combines the familiar sound and feel of a diesel with the unmistakable high-pitched whine of advanced electric motors. Its unconventional energy transfer system is neither the most efficient nor the most refined, but it speaks to the ingenuity and persistence behind its creation. A true testament to keeping a beloved machine working the fields, long after its original prime.

The engine and Transmission were created by Mayuka (MMus1cc) to mimic a 2-speed motor electric truck. Like real-world trucks, it is intended to pull a trailer, so it has the instant torque feeling of an electric vehicle if you drive it without it. With a load, it drives smoothly. Reverse speed is limited to make backing easier. If you use manual shifting, you can downshift to low range or ‘D’, the default forward mode is S+ (Sport Mode).
Has a functioning ‘after-market’ styled power gauge showing the power usage of the electric motor.
Fuel tanks removed and replaced with a battery box (Designed by Amina (1chig0_A) with batteries and an electric charging port.
The electric range is set to mimic that of a conversion kit and to give that feeling of always needing to plug in. (Amina note: and to make service vehicle useful!)
Clearance lights have a choice between Orange, White, and Green.
Removed the slanted CB antennas and replaced them with a normal mirror-mounted one.
New connections and cat-walk on the rear of the tractor. It now has hydraulic connections.
Works with Interactive Control. Radio functions, Windows roll down, and the battery box can be opened with IC.
